Are
you looking for a new house but are overwhelmed by the wide range of options
available? Are you dissatisfied with your kitchen but cannot quite pinpoint
why? Are you thinking of starting a business and wondering where to locate
it? Or perhaps you are about to landscape your garden but need advice.
The tradition of Vastu may help answer your questions and offer valuable
guidance.
Vastu
Vidya is one of the most valuable treasures of ancient Indian knowledge.
The word Vastu means to dwell and Vidya means science, so
Vastu Vidya is the sacred science related to designing and building houses.
Vastu is rooted in Vedic philosophy, which emerged around 4,500 years
ago. Many believe that Vastu is the distant ancestor of Feng Shui, the
Chinese art of geomancy. Like Feng Shui, Vastu aims to restore the blance
between the home(the microcosm) and the cosmos (the macrocosm), bringing
health, wealth, and happiness.
According
to Vastu, the external and the internal are interchangeable, for the underlying
energies that govern the elements, such as wind or fire, are the same
as those that control the organs of the human body.
